The article examines the current state and prospects of international legal cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the international community in the field of artificial intelligence. It analyzes international regulatory and recommendatory instruments, the main areas of activity of international organizations, and Kazakhstan’s national legislation governing artificial intelligence. Particular attention is paid to issues concerning the protection of human rights, cross-border data exchange, information security, the allocation of legal liability, and the harmonization of national legal frameworks. The article substantiates the need to expand Kazakhstan’s international cooperation, strengthen regional collaboration in Central Asia, and participate in the development of international standards for the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
