FOREIGN POLICY COOPERATION BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN AND THE CENTRAL ASIAN COUNTRIES WITHIN THE OSCE FRAMEWORK

Abstract

This study analyzes the foreign policy activities of Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries within the framework of their participation in the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). Special attention is paid to Kazakhstan's chairmanship in this organization in 2010, which became an important event for the country and its importance in the international arena. The article describes how Kazakhstan used the OSCE Chairman's platform to strengthen its image in the world community, as well as to promote its own initiative on regional security, stability among neighboring states, and sustainable development. The article also reveals the priorities of Kazakh diplomacy within the OSCE, including confidence-building initiatives in Central Asia, combating new threats, transnational threats, human development and respect for human rights. It also provides an analysis of Kazakhstan's multilateral foreign policy, its initiatives as a mediator and guide in its efforts to engage in dialogue and establish political and cultural ties. The article is based on OSCE materials and on official documents, statements and speeches by political leaders, which allows for a deeper and clearer understanding of the goals and results of the republic's foreign policy achievements in this international organization.
