At the present stage, the political interaction between France and the States of Sub-Saharan Africa reflects deep transformational processes in international relations. Fundamental changes in France's strategic priorities in the region, which have an impact on the nature of bilateral cooperation, are being considered. Special attention is paid to the evolution of traditional mechanisms of cooperation in the political, economic and military spheres, and new models of cooperation focused on the principle of sovereign equality have been identified. The purpose of the research is to study the specifics of France's foreign policy and cooperation and the mechanisms for its implementation in sub-Saharan Africa. The methodological basis of the study was the methods of political analysis, including system analysis, used to identify existing difficulties and identify possible solutions, as well as PEST analysis, aimed at studying political, economic and social factors influencing the dynamics of interaction. As a result of the research, the main factors determining the transformation of partnership have been identified, as well as the prospects for further development of relations in the context of strengthening multipolarity in the international system.
