The article examines the effectiveness of artificial intelligence for investigators and criminologists in preventing criminal offenses, uncovering and investigating crimes, as well as the advantages of data analysis and search, identifying patterns, and forecasting. The actions performed with the help of artificial intelligence are described. It is also noted that artificial intelligence is an auxiliary tool for simplifying and speeding up the work of law enforcement officers, and not a substitute for humans, that is, law enforcement officers.
