THE USE OF CHATGPT IN TEACHING FRENCH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE: AN ANALYSIS OF ITS PEDAGOGICAL POTENTIAL

Abstract

This article examines the pedagogical potential of using the ChatGPT language model in teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE) within the context of the digital transformation of education. The study is structured according to the IMRAD format: based on the analysis of contemporary domestic and international research, it identifies the key advantages and limitations of using artificial intelligence in language education. Particular attention is paid to the personalization of learning, the automation of the educational process, the development of writing skills, and the formation of communicative competence. The results show that ChatGPT can serve as an effective supporting tool, provided it is used in a methodologically sound and critical manner. The article offers methodological recommendations for integrating ChatGPT into FLE teaching
